Free Wedding Invitations

Get FREE Wedding Invitations

It’s not normal to receive something totally free.  In fact, it seems almost down right magical when it happens or maybe even a little cynical.  What’s the trap? Why would anyone do that? It must not be worth anything? Typically, if it walks like a duck, squawks like a duck…well, you know the rest.

Keeping with the wedding theme that I have been talking for the last few posts, I’ve come across a real FREE deal.  I’ve checked it out and wouldn’t you just know it, it’s for real. Just jump on over to FREE WEDDING INVITATIONS and instead of investing all that money on something that someone looks at one time, spend it on something they will talk about for years to come. Magical Entertainment at your wedding is money well spent. Not only is it an original idea, but a great way to accent your special day.

How to Twist a Balloon Reindeer

This is a 11 balloon reindeer that uses six 260 mocha balloons, two 160 white balloons (antlers), the end of one red 260 (nose), 1 mocha 350 (body and tail) and 1 five inch white round (eyes). If you are interested in a video tutorial, please comment below and I will put one together.

Tis the season to be merry. I can’t say that last line without thinking about Clark Griswald hitting on the sales woman in the lingerie department in the Christmas Vacation movie. Definitely one of my favorite movies of the season. At least I don’t take it as far as my brother who has an annual party where you must come dressed as someone from the movie!

If you are looking to decorate your cubicle at work or jazz up the office of someone special, Rudolph always steals the show!  Build all other 8 reindeer and the sleigh with Santa Clause to really get into the spirit.

Holiday Balloon Twisting Parties

When planning a party there are many things that we know you must take into account when trying to prepare that perfect event. For instance, making sure we have the cake and ice cream ready, party favors at the ready and games ready to play are some that we often think of first. What I would like to like to remind you about are the often overlooked ones that can really throw  a wrench into your whole time table if you would happen to forget them.

Birthday Wish

5. Scheduled time the Entertainer will appear should be approximately 1 hour after the party starts. This will account for late arrivals to your party and take away the stop in the show or the entertainment.

4. Have a list ready with someone who will write down each present as it is opened and the persons name who brought the gift. This makes the whole Thank You process easy the next day when you are trying to remember who brought what and the generic Thank You for the gift thank you that is sent out when you forget who did what.

3. Remember when hiring a balloon twister, account for 5 to 7 minutes per child of time that you will need the twister for and then add on another 30 minutes to an hour (depending on party size) for balloon surgery or replacement or wounded or KIA balloon creations.  In other words, if you are having the average size  party of 10-15 kids, then an hour and a half to 2 hours should be the time allotted for a good twister.  Maybe a little longer for one with advanced creations.

2. Have all pets safely kept away in another room if the balloon twisting will be inside.  Many kids running around with these balloon creations could scare them and animal versus balloon always results in animal winning that popping contest.  You won’t want your new puppy eating latex and getting sick or worse.

1.  Give yourself enough time after the party to relax. You deserve it! After all, you just had Vynn Credible dazzle your guests and they all left happy, so why should you get to take some well deserved rest!

Have a great event and see you soon!

Don’t Hire A Magician!!

5. You have a Mime Fetish.

4. You’d rather see if the stories are true about how many kids have a fear of Clowns!

3.  All those bounce houses blowing away with kids in them doesn’t scare you.

2. 15 kids running through your house with nothing to hold there attention is NO Problem!

1. No one ever explained that Magicians are not supposed to just trick you.

I know that many of you already know me and have even seen me perform many times for one event or another and are thinking that I must have bumped my head before adding this post, however I am serious.  From Birthday Party Moms to Full Time Professional Event Planners, there is someone right now looking around on the internet for the best price they can find for a magician.  While there is no Orbitz or Travelocity to find the best price on a magician, I’m here to to help you understand that you are going about it all wrong.  Price should not be the main concern, although I do understand that we all have budgets.  However, even budgets have a high end and a low end. While riding a bicycle from Miami to Jacksonville may save me a ton of money on gas, I think I’d rather spend the extra money and drive a car or even take the bus.

Let’s get back to the main point, Don’t Hire a Magician! What you really are looking for is a professional entertainer  If you think about it long enough, you know deep down that this is what you were really looking for to begin with and just didn’t realize it.  An Entertainer is someone that will take their audience on a magical journey in their mind.  The day to day troubles are forgotten for a moment as the mind is allowed to wonder and believe that something extraordinary has just happened which creates a child like amazement in each of us.  This is what memories are made of and when the weeks, months and years pass after your event, people will be talking of that moment and what a great time they had there.  When they reminisce about this event they will then remember who put this fantastic time together.  If this is a corporate event, what easier way could you be on someones mind all the time. Oh, I  know, that fancy pen with your logo on it they picked up at your booth won’t even make the trip home. In fact, they left it on the table for the waitress after signing their receipt. Or maybe the party favor bag you put together going to 5 different stores to find the right themed items for the birthday  party. Wrong, that was shredded in the car on the way home. I’ve worked the corporate world and spent many business trips in Las Vegas collecting all the freebies from the vendors only to give them to the kids when I got home and never looked at them again.  Speaking of kids, my have attended many parties in the past and they could never tell you what trinket they brought home before.  However, every single time my kids bring home a friend they all ask me to show them something magical because they remember the time I entertained them at their friends birthday or the show at the school or the 4th of July party or…the list goes on and on.

Let’s create memories together that turn into something special.  After all, do you want someone to think for a brief moment that they were just tricked OR wouldn’t you rather have your friends, family and coworkers talking about how funny it was when Vynn Credible was trying to escape from the straight jacket and his arm fell off!

See you soon!

Engagement Party

Engagement Parties can be a lot of fun and this one was definitely a blast.

Pick a card, any card ladies!

Adults tend have a different perception to magic then children, so the approach must be completely different.  In most cases, they may have never seen me perform before or their experience with magic has not been a good one, so they immediately have a turn off to it.  There are a few easy ways to overcome this and get the audience on your side.

1.) I have found it is best to have 2 strong effects already in mind, one to lead in with and finally one to leave them wanting more.  The first trick must be very strong and usually something that happens in their hands that seems totally impossible.  This effect will immediately allow them to forget about reality for a moment and allow the possibility of other magic to just happen.

2.) Finally, finish just as strongly as you started and this will leave them wanting more as you leave to go on to your next group.

3.)  Only do 3 to 5 tricks depending on their length of time and move on.  You want to walk away before they do!

4.) One last idea is always have a few tricks that children like.  Even at Adult events, the children may be in another room hidden away.  Invite them out for for a few minutes to show them some magic.  The parents will follow them into the room you have selected and so will more people as they hear the laughter to see what is going on.  Follow up the children’s tricks with one or two quick stage style tricks that involve a few adults. Thank everyone for having you at the party and explain that you will be looking forward to meeting them all as you walk around to perform close up for them.  Now, many party goers know what you are there to do and since you have already entertained them they will be ready when you walk up to them later.

Have a Magical Day!
