Magic at Menchie’s in Melbourne, FL

This last minute close up magic show will be here before you know it.  If you’d like a chance to see me in action for a public venue, stop by Menchie’s in Melbourne across from the Brunswick Bowling Lanes and next too Tijuana Flats.  I will be performing  close up magic or street magic which is best

Magic at Menchie's in Melbourne Florida

known as magic that can happen right in your hands.  Years ago I used to perform this type of magic down the street at Frankie’s Wings and had an awesome group of spectators that gathered every Tuesday for the special on wings and the show that followed.  With your help, I’d like to start the same kind of following at this Specialty Frozen Yogurt Shop.  My kids love going here anyway, so now I get to have fun too!  Stop on by and have some fun with me as this will not just be for kids.  I will be packing a magical entertainment for people of all ages and I am looking forward to seeing you there!

Michael Van Ness and I recently got to twist balloons for a very special group of people. Candlelighters of Brevard, Inc. hosted an amazing evening of food, fun and Santa Clause for families that have been stricken with cancer in Indialantic, Florida.  This was the nicest group of children that we met all month, and we have met a lot of children this month! It really makes me take a step back and think about all that I have to be thankful for this year and how lucky I am to have such a healthy family. With all that seems to be wrong in the world or what we think our problems are, imagine having something that you have so little control over in your life. These families are so strong and such an inspiration to me.  It’s times like this that I really begin to understand what life is really all about to me. Today is the first day of a new year and I am looking things in a whole new light because of what I learned last year.

Top 5 Things I Learned This Past Year

1. Have Fun – Because when it gets down to it, if you don’t have fun doing it, then you are doing it for the wrong reasons.

2. Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff – Now I know that I have seen this in numerous other places, including those inspirational posters that usually have  a small kitten stuck in jar or something, but it really rang true this year.

3. Hard Work Does Pay Off – People do notice your work ethic and whether you are aware of it or not, they do tell others about you. Make sure you are always showing your good side!

4. Help Your Friends Succeed – We are always trying to do better with our own business or personal struggle and we can learn a lot from each other.  There is more opportunities to make money out there than one person can ever do, so share what you know has worked for you with those that are close to you and come to you for guidance. Don’t bury your talents.

5. Spend Time with Your Kids – They will never be as young as they were today. Run, play, teach and laugh. You’ll love it as much as they do, I guarantee it!

Happy New Year!!

How to Twist a Balloon Reindeer

This is a 11 balloon reindeer that uses six 260 mocha balloons, two 160 white balloons (antlers), the end of one red 260 (nose), 1 mocha 350 (body and tail) and 1 five inch white round (eyes). If you are interested in a video tutorial, please comment below and I will put one together.

Tis the season to be merry. I can’t say that last line without thinking about Clark Griswald hitting on the sales woman in the lingerie department in the Christmas Vacation movie. Definitely one of my favorite movies of the season. At least I don’t take it as far as my brother who has an annual party where you must come dressed as someone from the movie!

If you are looking to decorate your cubicle at work or jazz up the office of someone special, Rudolph always steals the show!  Build all other 8 reindeer and the sleigh with Santa Clause to really get into the spirit.

Holiday Balloon Twisting Parties

Comedy Plus Magic Equals Fun!

It is possible to have a great comedy magic show right here in sunny Florida! I really enjoy performing and some of you got to see that first hand today here in Melbourne. You know who you are and right now you are thinking to yourself how much fun we had. You may not remember what you were laughing about, but you will remember laughing and that is my goal.

Today I was looking though my facebook world and and saw this funny clip that Fred Moore shared. It is taken from the Conan O’Brien TV show of comedian Pete Holmes.  When you are ready for another chuckle, take a look at this clip.

This is really funny, maybe a little more for my friends that are magicians, but everyone will get a laugh. Thanks Fred for finding this clip.  Remember the noise you are supposed to make at the next magic show now! HA!

Florida Balloon Artists

Dynamite Balloon Creations

I have joined forces with two other premiere extreme balloon artists in Brevard County. Our website will be unveiled soon, but for now we have released a slide show or some of our earlier creations.

Scott Barhold and Mike Van Ness have combined their unique twisting abilities with Vynn Credible to make what clients are calling “the best balloon creations” they have ever seen!  If this is what you want to hear your clients, guests and business associates say about your next event, wait no longer and book today.

We just completed a huge Fall Festival for Health First employees at Wickham Park.  This event had over 7000 (yes that is seven thousand) employees and family members which enjoyed their Saturday afternoon being entertained by our terrific trio with our wise cracking jokes as well as some unusual balloon creations.  Scott even has a creation that he claims no one has ever seen before. This one even caught me by surprise.

The fun doesn’t end when we hand you the balloon creation, as most people hang around our tent to hear and see what we will do next.  I have to admit that the time flies by and if the battery on my air pump wouldn’t need changed every 4 hours, I would lose track of time as well!

We look forward to meeting new people at every event and even some old ones. In fact, one lady even asked me how often I twist balloons and then she reminded me that she had just seen me at a different event the day before!  Get in touch with me about how we can make your next event unforgettable as we Blow It Up with entertainment!

Vynn Credible & Velvet Rhino Entertain with Extreme Balloon Twisting!

Today I teamed up with the Velvet Rhino and we crushed it with balloons of all shapes and sizes. I even revealed my secret superhero identity.

We were under the big top at this windy event today, but that wasn’t enough to keep the lines from forming as we quickly adorned the heads of young and old with everything from Super Hero Hats to Alligators and Rhino’s new specialty, the giant fake nose and glasses.  I laugh every time he makes, especially when he makes it with the mustache and pretends to rub the ends as he handle bars it.

Anyway, we had a great time before we had to part ways and head in separate directions for private parties.  Tinkerbell was more popular than Super Hero hats at this 4 year old’s birthday party in Fox Lake Park in Titusville. That place is beginning to be a regular stomping ground for me as I’ve done parties there every month for the last few months.  It’s a beautiful park with plenty of shade, lots of parking and many different size pavilions to fit any number of guests. I highly suggest checking it out if this is in your area.

Don’t Hire A Magician!!

5. You have a Mime Fetish.

4. You’d rather see if the stories are true about how many kids have a fear of Clowns!

3.  All those bounce houses blowing away with kids in them doesn’t scare you.

2. 15 kids running through your house with nothing to hold there attention is NO Problem!

1. No one ever explained that Magicians are not supposed to just trick you.

I know that many of you already know me and have even seen me perform many times for one event or another and are thinking that I must have bumped my head before adding this post, however I am serious.  From Birthday Party Moms to Full Time Professional Event Planners, there is someone right now looking around on the internet for the best price they can find for a magician.  While there is no Orbitz or Travelocity to find the best price on a magician, I’m here to to help you understand that you are going about it all wrong.  Price should not be the main concern, although I do understand that we all have budgets.  However, even budgets have a high end and a low end. While riding a bicycle from Miami to Jacksonville may save me a ton of money on gas, I think I’d rather spend the extra money and drive a car or even take the bus.

Let’s get back to the main point, Don’t Hire a Magician! What you really are looking for is a professional entertainer  If you think about it long enough, you know deep down that this is what you were really looking for to begin with and just didn’t realize it.  An Entertainer is someone that will take their audience on a magical journey in their mind.  The day to day troubles are forgotten for a moment as the mind is allowed to wonder and believe that something extraordinary has just happened which creates a child like amazement in each of us.  This is what memories are made of and when the weeks, months and years pass after your event, people will be talking of that moment and what a great time they had there.  When they reminisce about this event they will then remember who put this fantastic time together.  If this is a corporate event, what easier way could you be on someones mind all the time. Oh, I  know, that fancy pen with your logo on it they picked up at your booth won’t even make the trip home. In fact, they left it on the table for the waitress after signing their receipt. Or maybe the party favor bag you put together going to 5 different stores to find the right themed items for the birthday  party. Wrong, that was shredded in the car on the way home. I’ve worked the corporate world and spent many business trips in Las Vegas collecting all the freebies from the vendors only to give them to the kids when I got home and never looked at them again.  Speaking of kids, my have attended many parties in the past and they could never tell you what trinket they brought home before.  However, every single time my kids bring home a friend they all ask me to show them something magical because they remember the time I entertained them at their friends birthday or the show at the school or the 4th of July party or…the list goes on and on.

Let’s create memories together that turn into something special.  After all, do you want someone to think for a brief moment that they were just tricked OR wouldn’t you rather have your friends, family and coworkers talking about how funny it was when Vynn Credible was trying to escape from the straight jacket and his arm fell off!

See you soon!

Tonight’s Creation is Nemo!

Balloon twisting has been a lot of fun for me.  Lately, I have been getting a lot of requests and my clients can’t believe the results. In fact, this past weekend at the Grand Opening for Holmes Regional Hospital in Viera, I was asked to stay longer then was originally contracted.  Luckily, this was one of the days that I didn’t have another show to run off too, so I stuck around.   There were thousands of people that turned out for the hospital tour and it was a typically beautiful Florida spring day hitting almost 90 degrees.

Orlando Magic Fan Also Likes Monkeys in Palm Trees with Bananas!

Everybody was styling their summer clothes and most were showing their support for the Orlando Magic Basketball Team.  This next picture was no exception.  He wanted a zany hat that captured his excitement for his favorite team. Of course, I was all too happy to make him this crazy creation. Hours later, he was still wearing it and I was able to get a snap shot of him.

The last picture I will leave you with is a little something that I was working on tonight. This is a hat with a little bit of the sea attached. I know it sounds crazy but the twisted sandy base is the hat part and then a very famous clown fish is hiding between some seaweed as bubbles are seen escaping above his head.  Tune in next time to see what will be next!

Corporate Holiday Entertainment

Pick a Winner!!

The holiday season is quickly approaching and event planners are stuck with the task of deciding what to do to entertain hundreds of employees.  The only problem is that, although holiday raffles or give aways are filled with excitement, when it comes to the end of the evening only a handful of people walk away happy with their door prizes.  Hiring a great Magical Entertainer may be the solution to your holiday blues.  Everyone gets to take away the memory of a fun filled show and many others get to take home the story of the time they got picked from the audience to participate.  The office will be swarming with anticipation for next years party long before the season is upon you.

The picture to the left was a holiday party I did earlier this year for United Space Alliance in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Like most corporate affairs the evening started off with a cocktail hour that morphed into a dinner.  While guests mingled and had a few drinks, I entertained them with some close up magic.  This is a lot of fun because it is magic that happens right in front of them or in their own hands.  What a great prelude to a magical stage show, because now they have an idea of my personality, skill and ability to entertain!  This really sets the stage for what is to come.

The next part of the corporate show is a cleverly crafted mix of comedy and magic that keeps each guest wondering what they just saw, while they laugh the night away.  This is the part that I really love because it gives me a chance to interact with someone on a large scale.  Chances are that they have never been on stage before or at least not as often as me.  Not to worry because they will still be the star and their 15 minutes of fame is about to begin.

As you can see my willing assistant has the biggest smile and is really enjoying the moment.  I can’t wait for next years event with this group.  We all had so much fun!

In closing, take the weight off your shoulders of completing this difficult task of trying to make so many people happy and let it up to a Pro.  A great suggestion is Vynn Credible for your corporate event because I will make your event worth remembering!

Kimley-Horn & Associates has been named by FORTUNE Magazine as one of it’s 100 Best Companies to work for and that was easy to see why from all the great people I got to meet this afternoon before, during and after the show.  We were all having so much fun that I didn’t want to do my closing act, however I am glad that I did.  I say this because everyone was laughing so hard that they were almost crying!

This company has a monthly fun event for the employees and I look forward to the next time they ask me to come and entertain.  I was also very impressed with the complex that they had designed and work in. Luckily, I was given a tour of this huge building and got to see this “Green” building and all of it’s cool features, including the flower garden on the roof!
