Balloon twisting has been a lot of fun for me. Lately, I have been getting a lot of requests and my clients can’t believe the results. In fact, this past weekend at the Grand Opening for Holmes Regional Hospital in Viera, I was asked to stay longer then was originally contracted. Luckily, this was one of the days that I didn’t have another show to run off too, so I stuck around. There were thousands of people that turned out for the hospital tour and it was a typically beautiful Florida spring day hitting almost 90 degrees.

Everybody was styling their summer clothes and most were showing their support for the Orlando Magic Basketball Team. This next picture was no exception. He wanted a zany hat that captured his excitement for his favorite team. Of course, I was all too happy to make him this crazy creation. Hours later, he was still wearing it and I was able to get a snap shot of him.

The last picture I will leave you with is a little something that I was working on tonight. This is a hat with a little bit of the sea attached. I know it sounds crazy but the twisted sandy base is the hat part and then a very famous clown fish is hiding between some seaweed as bubbles are seen escaping above his head. Recently, I was talking with a few friends and fellow magicians after attending a lecture given by Jonathan Levitt and we were discussing how easy it is to become distracted. For instance, below is a video with people bouncing a basketball. Half of the people are wearing black shirts and half are wearing white shirts. Count the number of times the people wearing a white shirt bounce the ball to each other.
Did you get it right? Did you rewind the video because you couldn’t believe how easy it was to distract you?
Here is another one that Magician Bob Brizendine brought to my attention. You may have even seen the color changing deck trick before. See if you can count how many times the color changes. I think you will be surprised.
Did you catch them all? Misdirection is truly a required skilled art that every magician must learn if he seriously wants to become a real entertainer. This is accomplished in many different ways, from voice inflection, to an actual touch, glance or look.
Appreciation for the art as a whole has really taken over my experience of watching others perform. I look for the entertainment and try to learn from those that really “get it”" because that is what the lay audience is really looking for when they come to a show. They want to be the side of the entertainer because people like to be part of a success.
Why else would everyone around the world want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler fan? It sure isn’t because Pittsburgh is a vacation destination. It is because they want to associate themselves with the success of a team that is about to win it’s 7th Superbowl Championship. All of my friends know that I have been a fan my whole life and just had to find a way to cheer on the Black and Gold as Superbowl Sunday quickly approaches.
2. Carving pumpkins has become more than just a spooky face. Now people are carving scary cats, skulls, ghosts, bats and more. A few years ago I discovered that there are plenty of websites with free printable templates that you can use to cut that special design into your favorite pumpkin.
3. How can you spook up your home on a budget? Simply making the decorations yourself is not only a great way to save money but also a lot of fun. When the scissors and glue come out of the craft box, all the kids in our family like to get involved. 4. Games can be a lot of fun, but what kind of games are good for Halloween? I haven’t seen anyone bobbing for apples in decades! It was a beautiful day to be out on the links, but we were having a blast in the club house. Celebrities Fore Kids is a great organization that I have had the privilege of meeting today. The purpose of Celebrities Fore Kids, Inc. is to improve the quality of life for children with cancer, and their families, who live on the Treasure Coast of Florida. Presently pediatric oncology services are not available in the Treasure Coast. To further this purpose, the organization works closely with agencies, physicians, schools, hospitals and pediatric care centers. Their goal is to offer financial, emotional, and social support to these children and their families.
Celebrities Fore Kids
I got to meet some great families today and would like to think that I had a part in the big smiles that I saw on all their faces. Lots of audience participation was on the venue today and I think it we can say that everyone had a chance to participate in one way or another. I had so much fun as a Family Magician today and look forward to more of these opportunities.
Now begins the prepartion for next years event, since I have already been told to set the date. Stu has even started to get prepare by pretending to be a very still rabbit. He really impresses me that when it is showtime he behaves so well. Here at the house, I am constantly having to tell him to get out of the dog’s food dish. My dog eats cheeseburger flavored dog food. Maybe Stu is trying to tell me he wants to go out to McDonalds! Either way, he is one crazy rabbit here at home.

Hopefully this doesn’t mean an end to his career and just the beginning of another chapter in his magical life. Talking with residents of Las Vegas, Lance Burton is more than just an entertainer, he is an a social icon of the city by always helping locally in many ways.

Release of the Doves
Is there anything that Lance does that doesn’t look magical? I saw a commercial he did once about adopting animals and his mannerisms alone just made you think a tiger was going to appear out of thin air! We love ya Lance and hope your vacation won’t be for long.
As we aspire to be a great magician, it is legends like this that we must study. Not just because of the trick itself, but mainly one must understand that these are great entertainers and this is what continually draws the crowds every night. Learn this secret and you too can be very successful.

McDonald’s is a great place to have your kids birthday party. After all, the kids are out of your house, someone else
sets up, someone else cleans up, and there is a cool hamster maze for the kids to crawl through, all in the comfort of A/C. Speaking of A/C, I know one magician and balloon twister that can really appreciate doing a show inside instead of outside!
Once again, I had a lot of fun performing for a 5 year old’s birthday party. Twisting balloons in all kinds of shapes and sizes and as always, someone requests the easiest balloon ever…the worm. Seriously kid…a worm? Do you want it twirled up like a snake ready to strike? How about in the shape of something, like a heart?
“Nope.” He says, “Just blow up the balloon and put a knot in it. That’s what I want.”
Well, I gave him what he wanted and he took off running excited as ever when I handed it to him. This is a great lesson that I should have remembered from my mentor. It’s not what you want that is important, it’s what makes the audience happy and entertains them that you should do.
However, after a half dozen swords I tried to get the boys to be a little more creative and showed them some more balloon shape options and then they were excited to chase each other around with bumble bees, sharks and a parrot on their head!
Timing is everything, make sure that the “bringer of the cake and ice cream” understands to wait until after the show or (mental note for next time) start the show after the cake and ice cream have been served. This a golden nugget for any new magician starting out, so take note! 
Birthday party Magicians are a lot of fun and I encourage parents to try out a good one (like me!).
Restaurants do not allow live animals. This is the only down side that I have come across so far. Therefore, if you would like my magic show with the live rabbit, then it must be done somewhere else, like your home.

Today I had a lot of fun meeting new people and twisting balloons for the local residents of Melbourne, Florida who were looking to have some fun at the Family Fun Day sponsored by RBC Bank. The DJ did a great job promoting the different booths that were set up today including my own. We even had an opportunity where I was able to draw a crowd for some close up street magic that, according to the DJ, made him feel like a kid again because he couldn’t believe what he was seeing!
That’s all part of the Vynn Credible experience!

Come out and have a great time supporting a worthwhile cause, a portion of the proceeds go to the Rachel Nates Breath of Hope Foundation. This event has special meaning to me because Rachel was a friend mine who went on way to early for many of us. But since there are plans for us that only one person in this world will ever know, she is now our angel looking out for all of us and encouraging everyone to become an organ donor. Her legacy lives on and we will be spreading the word about her life, as this will also be the release of the film documentary about her.
Now the magic! This will be exciting because you know I love to do what I do and the more people the better. Bring out your friends, family and kids because this is going to be a very Magical weekend!
